A TASTY TEA - PG TIPS

We are pleased to introduce PG Tips, the UK's bestselling tea. Tea is the UK's favorite drink, consuming 150 million cups a day, with 35 million being PG Tips. If you like breakfast tea, you WILL love PG Tips and if you do not like breakfast tea, you WILL love PG Tips.

PG Tips has a long and reputable history celebrating its 75th anniversary in 2005. Their advertisements included the PG Tips’ chimps and ran for almost 50 years, winning them a spot in Guinness Book of Records as the longest running ad campaign ever. See below for videos.

In 1869 a tea dealer, Arthur Brooke opened his first shop in a prime location selling tea, coffee and sugar. A sign over the door read Brooke, Bond and Company although there was no Mr. Bond, he liked the sound of it, so it stuck. The company continued to prosper after Brooke’s death in 1918, but it was not until 1930 that PG Tips first hit the shelves, sold as loose leaf tea.

PG Tips comes from the name “Pre-Gestee’ tea” a variation of the original name “Digestive Tea” (thought to aid in digestion. Salesmen thought this was too long a name and shortened it to PG Tips. The Tips refer to the tips of the bud of the tea plant which are used in the blend.

Available at One of a Kind. PG Tips is $11.00 per 8.8 oz. box, which is about 10 cents a cup. A great tea and a great deal!

Here are some of the famous PG Tips ads:

Famous commercial lines: "You can really taste the difference in a cup of PG, tender tips make tasty tea." and "A golden cup of PG that’s what I call good taste."

TEA PARTY

Last weekend I had the privilege of spending the afternoon with the ladies of McEachern Methodist Church. There were about 100 women in attendance. It was a fundraiser for their bridal department and in memory of one of their friends. There was a table decorated in honor of her (see photo memorial table). All the tables had a different them (see photos).

They sipped Whitlock Afternoon and Rooibos Sweet Lemon Cream and sampled Snowflake and Island Breeze iced.

Their menu, which I did not provide:

Onion Soup
Holiday Chicken Salad/Croissant
Cheese Pull

Savory Bread Pudding Square
Plain Scone/Clotted Cream & Lemon Curd
White Chocolate Almond Scone/Blueberry Sauce

Almond Square
Apple Walnut Muffin
Chocolate Surprise

Everything looked exquisite and tasted great!

The theme was hospitality and I shared with the ladies what the Lord has laid on my heart in that area. It was a blessed day! Everyone had a wonderful time, especially me, the tea lady.

If you would like me to come speak to your group, please contact me.
